An Apology from the IRS

 June 28, 2021

We now understand the real problem.
Apologizing for not meeting their 16-week processing timeframe.
Instead, it took them 14 months (56 weeks), to meet their 16 week targeted processing time.

No one in the IRS can not do simple math.

This is what happens when you have only 42% of the workforce, not at work, for 18 months.
Refunds from 2020 will arrive, eventually. They try for 3 to 4 weeks. And still promise that on websites and during conversations with their call centers.

So, using IRS math, they should start arriving in 12 to 14 weeks.......after they open the mail. Which last year took them 8 weeks. Or five months......

We will continue to monitor and assist our clients in trying to expedite the process.
